OWF Overdrive, Episode 2: November 9, 2010

OWF OVERDRIVE
November 9th, 2010

Opening titles roll!

We start the show yet again with OWF President Ryan Tardiff who welcomes us the the second episode of OWF OVERDRIVE! He asks the crowd how they liked episode one and they seem to approve. He then says that he needs to address several matters from last week and the week that was.

First off he apologizes and explains that Benel Germosen isn’t here tonight. He wasn’t medically cleared to compete. He wishes him well and says he will be back as soon as he’s cleared.

He gets cut off by BriOmega with a shit eating grin. This means he gets a bye into the second round, right?

Wrong, in turns out - Ryan had made the ruling that due to his actions last week Bri has lost the match with Benel by forfeit. Brio is understanably upset but Ryan tells him that he will be entered into the Second Chance Battle Royal and if he’s worthy of the OWF title, he’ll find a way to win.

He then tells Bri to stick around, because the next bit of business concerns him and his apparent ally, Drew Rosen. The Todd has turned down Drew’s offer to become partners for the night and with Bri out of his match tonight, it seems only sensical to team Drew and Brio tonight.

Drew comes out and is a little miffed but says if he was going to team with anyone on the roster that BriOmega is a good choice. They’re watching each other’s back and tonight Brio can watch as he beats one of his next two opponents. Brio isn’t tremendously pleased to be wrestling twice and Ryan tells him he’s sure Benel wasn’t glad to wrestle two glorified handicap matches last week and that if he wants to be champ, he’s going have to do it - and by the way - if he gets himself counted out or disqualified or walks out on Drew? He’s out of the Battle Royal.

Drew tells Brio that it’ll be fine, just follow his lead. There is some friction there and Steve’s music hits and he and Joe enter the picture. Steve says he doesn’t care who he’s facing tonight, he wants a piece of Drew and to prove that he’s the man to beat in the tournament. Steve takes the mic and says after tonight and what he did last week that HE is the man to beat and he’s going to prove it. Steve and Joe share a glare and…

Todd and Daniel show up to note that all of them are arguing over a moot point and that the two front runners of the tournament are them and that they are a united front. Daniel agrees with Todd - they’re gonna win their first round matches and move on and up. Todd notes that it’s pathetic that Drew wanted to ride his coattails and that he’s not about to sign up for getting driven through a table again. Oh, but good luck with the match you guys! But him, he doesn’t need luck - cause he’s The Todd DAMMIT. And get out of his ring, he’s got a match.

Ryan gets in the last line noting that everyone involved is barred from ringside for the tournament matches and the tag match. Todd bristles a bit at this but heads down to the ring…

The Todd vs. Roger

First Round Match - OWF Heavyweight Title Tournament

Todd rolls his eyes at Roger’s antics hyping up the crowd. Roger offers a hand and Todd looks down at it dismisively… then takes it and clotheslines him out of his boots, pulls him back up into another clothesline and then hoists him up - rolling fireman carry slam. He goes over to the corner. Knee drop. Pin? 1…2…kickout.

Todd picks him up - vertical suplex. Another pin and… another 2. He goes for another suplex and SMALL PACKAGE! 1! 2! KICKOUT but Todd is pissed, forearms reign down, then knees whips him off the ropes and… wraparound sleeper slam by Roger. He goes for a pin and Todd tosses him off at 1. Todd is none to pleased. Why isn’t he able to make easy work out of him.

Roger hits a big boot to the face of Todd as he’s getting up and goes for another, Todd trips him up and gets him a kneebar. Roger gets to the ropes after a struggle and Todd pulls him to the middle of the ring and picks up his leg and slam it down on the mat. And again. And again. He sets up for the Indian Deathlock and Roger scurries to the ropes.

Todd pulls him back off the ropes and Roger mule kicks him and heads to the top. As Todd stirs he hits a crossbody off the top! Todd rolls through and grabs the tights! 1-2-3! Todd is relieved.

An interviewer pops up and asks if that was tougher than he thought it’d be and he blows him off. The interviewer persists and he says it went just as he planned, just like everything does BECAUSE HE’S THE TODD DAMMIT!!! And he walks off looking a bit shaken.

Up next, a graphic informs us - Mars Nova vs. Joe AiR!

In the back Brio and Drew are talking trash about Todd and how he had trouble with his match. He barely got the job done but they’ll do their job later tonight and THEN? Drew might just give Brio some moral support in the Battle Royal.

The announcers tell us that up next is the next tournament match, featuring Mars Nova vs. Joe AiR!

Mars Nova vs. Joe AiR

First Round Match - OWF Heavyweight Title Tournament

Mars goes for a handshake and Joe shakes it. They lock up and Mars gets the best of it, sending Joe to his back. Joe rushes into a powerslam. Mars pops off the ropes - NOVA FLASH pounce. That’s all he needs to get the 1-2-3.

The interviewer rushes over and wants a word with Nova - he says that he sure had an easier time than Todd and says that that should show everyone that he means business. He’s going to rocket through the field in this tournament in a Nova Flash and he and his fans will have the brightest day, just in time for his foes to see their blackest night.

Joe Woodbury is shown getting ready for tonight’s main event as we get the graphic - it’s Steve and Joe vs. Drew and Brio TONIGHT! And Daniel K. Gets his chance to shine NEXT!

Daniel K. vs. Jason California

First Round Match - OWF Heavyweight Title Tournament

Jason is in the ring when Daniel enters, and decides to say a few words first. His partner isn’t allowed to come out here himself but he’d like to remind everyone that he DID advance in the tournament and if you’d all stop being jealous for a moment you’d realize he made the next round just as much as anyone else did. More than Brio did, and more than Jason is going to right now.

Ring the bell!

Daniel rushes in… only to get hit with a kick to chest! And one to the leg! And one to the arm! And when he goes down to his knees he gets one to the head! And the arm! And the face! It’s the Bukkake Overdrive, nailing him all over the face with rapid fire kicks! He hits one final money shot and makes the pin! 1! 2! 3? NO NO HE KICKED OUT!

Jason hits another kick and Daniel responds with one of his own, and another! Jason goes for one, Daniel ducks, kick to the stomach - butterfly powerbomb - Texas Cloverleaf! Jason struggles! Will he tap? He’s moving closer to the ropes… he’s got them! Daniel won’t break the hold! 1! 2! 3! 4! Daniel relents and breaks it. He pulls Jason out of the ropes… SMALL PACKAGE! 1…2…KICKOUT!

Daniel is none too pleased. If anything this is going worse than Todd’s match! He starts putting the boots to Jason and picks him up - he gets one arm underhooked for the european suplex but Jason breaks free - Downward spiral! 1…2… Daniel kicks out. Jason goes to the top - missle dropkick! Daniel manages to roll to the outside. Jason gives chase! Daniel grabs his tights and sends him face first into the steps. Daniel hits a back suplex on the floor! He tosses Jason back in - 1…2… Kickout!

Daniel picks him up - T-bone suplex! 1…2… kickout! He goes to the corner - high knee! He bounces off the ropes, elbow drop, pops up and hits another, pops up and hits another. Another pin! 1…2… KICKOUT! He picks him up again and gets dropped with jawbreaker. Jason starts in on the kicks again but it seems he blew his load as Daniel sees the second kick coming, catches it and and hits a dragon screw leg whip. He goes for the Texas Cloverleaf again! This time he synches it in, Liontamer style. Jason writhes in pain… he starts going toward the ropes but… NO tap out!

The interviewer goes up to Daniel and says that was a struggle and he brushes past with no comment.

NEXT - It’s Joesph Woodbury & Steve Marshall vs. BriOmega

Brio and Drew enter, separately. Before the match begins Drew says that they are going to show those low lives Todd and Daniel how you make short work of inferior competition.

Joe enters next and waits on the ramp for Steve’s music to play. They rush the ring and the bell rings…

Joesph Woodbury & Steve Marshall vs. BriOmega & Drew Rosen

The faces clear the ring early with a flurry of offense that sends the heel to the back. We take a quick commercial break before the action really begins

We come back from break and the heels have taken over. They’re working over Steve and as we come back they hit a double team vertical suplex as Drew becomes the legal man. Drew goes for a pin but Joe is into break it up. The ref backs him out of the ring and Brio takes the chance to get in some double team stomping in their corner. When the ref sees Brio in the ring he pleads ignorance but Drew takes the oppurtunity to choke Steve with his knee up against the corner. He takes the entire 5 count once the ref sees and tags out to Brio.

More boots in the corner. Brio picks him up and drives him into the corner. He starts in with Nash style elbows and waits for him to stagger out of the corner and hoists him up for a belly to belly! 1…2… Joe breaks it up. AGAIN they start with the double teaming as Joe is drawn out of the ring. And The announcers start to wonder if Joe is doing this on purpose!

The crowd starts to rally behind Steve as Brio goes for a vertical suplex. Steve blocks it and hits one of his own. Can he make the tag? Nope, Drew wipes out Joe in the corner and gets the tag.

He picks Steve up, puts him in position for a piledriver, makes a pantomine for a tear going down his eye and mouths ‘Todd’ to the camera… and all the time taken allows Steve to get a backdrop! When Brio tries to knock Joe off the apron he ducks the forearm and counters with a kick over the ropes that sends Brio to the outside! Steve makes the tag and Joe is a house of fire! He starts lighting Drew up and he rolls out to talk strategy with Brio… Joe dives into them with a suicide dive! As they are starting to recover Steve stirs and goes up top - corkscrew plancha! Everyone is down!

Another commercial break! This one is going long!

As we come back Steve has Brio up for a vertical suplex and he hits it. Pin and a kickout later Steve tags in Joe. Steve hoists Brio up and they hit a Hart Attack. Drew makes the save. As the ref takes him away Joe encourages Steve to double team but Steve doesn’t want it that way. While they argue Brio recovers and hits Joe with a chop block. He drags him into the other corner and tags in Drew. Joe gets choked with Brio’s knee while Drew hits face washes with his boot. Joe doesn’t attempt to stop it, throwing up his hands.

Drew picks up Steve and delivers a forearm… and Steve comes back with another! They go back and forth until Drew cuts him off with a knee to the gut. He teases and delivers a jumping piledriver! Cover! 1…2..Steve kicks out. No help from Joe on that one but he managed the kick out. Tag into Brio and Drew hits a back breaker and tells brio to go high - double team knee drop backbreaker combo! 1…2… Joe saunters in to break it up at 2.

Brio then goes up top again - Diving Headbutt! 1…2…KICKOUT! He goes up for another! Steve moves! Can he get the tag? Will Joe even take it?! HE DOES! HE WILL!

Joe is a house of fire! Powerslam to Drew when he comes in. Tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on Brio! He tags Steve back in and he gets an incredulous stare… but Steve goes up - Frog Splash! 1…2..Kickout. Steve tags back out, hard, chopping him in the chest. Joe gives him a glare to match and Brio sneaks up - schoolboy! He’s got the tights! 1…2…KICKOUT.

Steve and Brio face off and trade punches and Brio gets the worse of it, gets shot off the ropes and gets back dropped. He drops to his knees and begs. Steve considers… and hits execution kick! 1…2… Drew breaks it up. Steve pops into the corner and knocks Drew off… giving brio the chance to hit a lariat.

The announcers are horrified and apologetic to announce that they have to take another commercial break! The final one of the evening!

As we come back Joe is in a bad way - Brio tags out and puts Joe on his shoulders - Drew goes up - Dropkick Doomsday Device! 1…2… Steve makes an emphatic save! Drew puts Joe in a headlock and the crowd starts to go nuts wanting a come back! They’re chanting ‘Let’s Go Joe!’ ‘We Want Steve’ back and forth! He fires up and shoots Drew off the ropes but when he ducks his head Drew drops him with a DDT! He tags into Brio who puts him in a key lock. The fans go nuts again! They are pounding and chanting and trying their darndest!

The announcers announce that the Battle Royal will have to delayed till next week by ruling of OWF President Ryan Tardiff! We’re staying with this one as long as it takes!

Joe fires up again to the delight of the crowd… He gets to his feet and springboards on to the top rope and drops flipping backward and breaking the hold with an armdrag. Brio scrambles to make a tag and… Drew comes in just in time to grab Joe’s foot… he’s reaching for the tag… Drew drags him back… enzuguri! Tag!

Steve is in with big tag! Fists are flying! Brio rushes him and gets tossed over the top! Drew comes at him and gets a drop toe hold, Steve gets him in the Steve Special #3! Grapevine STF! Drew is gonna tap! The crowd is chanting - Tap Tap Tap!

BRIO BREAKS IT UP! Joe comes in and clothelines him over the top, they both go to the floor! Steve goes for it again but gets a low blow! He whips Steve into the corner! He follows with an avalanche! T-Bone Suplex! Commend They Spirit is what he call it and it gets… 1….2… Kickout! We call that a near fall! It put away Drew’s first round opponent! But not Steve! Drew picks him up - double underhook - he is going to hit Deadman’s Drop! NO! Steve backdrops out! Joe is back in the corner and gets a tag!

Joe hits a baseball slide dropkick on Brio to knock him out of the equation! Drew rushes him in the corner and misses! Joe gets a running start and hits double knees into the corner! Guillotine choke! Drew strugles and Joe switches it to a Gogaplata! Drew might tap! Steve hits a plancha to the outside on Brio! Drew manages to writhe out of pressure… it gets turned into an umaplata! Drew tries to do a roll out counter but ends up rolling it into a rear naked choke! DREW MANAGES TO GET TO THE ROPES!!! As he tries to get up and staggers to his feet - STO! Arm Triangle!

Drew is fighting it! He’s is the middle of the ring! He teases tapping! They want it! The crowd are buzzing - Tap! TAP! TAP!!! HE DOES! It’s over! Joe made Drew tap!!

Steve gets back in the ring and celebrates with Joe - they shake hands - nay, hug! The crowd is going nuts!

But… hey that’s Todd! And Daniel! They attack! Todd hoists Joe up - Daniel springboards into a Hart Attack/Shinning Wizard mash up! And Steve? He takes a spike brainbuster! What is the meaning of this?!

Todd turns to Daniel and pushes him - GET THE TABLES! Todd measures Drew - PUNT! Brio sees this and heads for the hills! Daniel sets up the table outside the ring and Todd drags Drew to the apron - Todd sets Drew up for the piledriver off the apron!

Ryan's music hits and he says NO! Don't do it! The mystery man appears out of the crowd and security scrambles from Ryan to get him! They unmask him! It's... Buddy Friend?! It can't be Buddy Friend he was in the match where he interfered! But no! He comes out from the backstage. He's behind Ryan! SCORPIAN DEATH DROP! He signals to Todd to do it!

SPIKE PILEDRIVER FROM THE APRON THROUGH A TABLE! Todd, Daniel and on the stage the mystery man are left reigning supreme!
