OWF Overdrive, Episode 1: November 2, 2010

OWF Overload
November 2nd Debut Edition

The show opens with it’s opening titles, set to Patti Smith’s My Generation and showing off the stars of the show, including The Todd & Daniel, Benel & BriOmega, Drew, Joe Woodbury, Mars Nova, Steve Marshall, Moonspider, Buddy Friend and Adam Montan posing.

We get a big fireworks display and cut to the ring with OWF President Ryan Tardiff:

“Ladies and Gentleman WELCOME TO THE OWF! And without further to do, for those of you this election day voting with your remote to welcome us into your home tonight, I’ve got a special treat as main event time comes early…”

He motions toward ring announcer …

“The following contest is schedule for one fall and is for the OWF TAG TEAM TITLES!” Big pop for that.

When Benel and Bri enter they give their titles over to Tardiff, as per the pre-match stipulation: he’s to present the titles to Todd and Daniel should they win.

The Todd and Daniel K. vs. Benel Germosen and BriOmega for the OWF Tag Team Titles

Benel and Todd start for their respective teams. Todd trash talks in Benel’s face and gets a right hand for his trouble and they trade blows for a bit and Benel gets the better of it. He gets some shine, hitting an arm drag on Todd, then a back drop before Todd tags in Daniel who gets much the same treatment. The heels confer in their corner and Benel knocks their heads together and schoolboys Daniel for a near fall.

Daniel rolls to the floor and Benel follows. Daniel starts backing up away from him and Todd tries a sneak attack and Benel hits him with a right hand, the distraction, however, gives Daniel time to sneak up on Benel and toss him into the steps, they double team him on the outside as Bri goes nuts at the referee, accidentally distracting him and allowing them more time outside to destroy Benel’s left arm.

They toss him back and a cover gets two. Daniel works the arm with all manner of arm bars and such and tags out to Todd who does much the same. They take turns working the arm, each time they tag out taking time to do a double team maneuver on it. Eventually after about 4-5 minutes of work on the arm Benel has the crowd in a fury getting behind him and he hit’s a desperation power slam on Todd. When he’s about to make the tag Daniel bounds in the ring and knocks Bri off the apron and goes to work back on the arm.

Benel makes another comeback a minute or two later, reversing and irish whip and then backdropping Daniel over the top. He starts a slow drag toward his corner when TODD then comes out of nowhere and knocks Bri off the apron. My goodness he’s never going to get a tag! Todd rushes, despite the ref’s command to get out of the ring, at Benel who hits another over the top back drop, sending Todd crashing into Daniel on the floor. Benel takes a deep breath and summons himself and bounces off the ropes into a suicide dive on both on the floor.

The ref counts them out: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6... They start to stir… Todd hits an arm breaker on Benel at 8 as Daniel re-enters the ring. Bri is nowhere to be seen. 9, 10! A count-out win?!

Your winners, by count-out: The Todd and Daniel K.

Ryan goes into the ring to award the title back to the champions: the titles can’t change hands on a count-out but as the ring announcer starts to announce that the titles aren’t changing hands Todd grabs the mic.

“The deal was - we win, you give us the titles. WHO WON?! We did. We get the titles.”

Ryan looks pained as he looks at Benel and BriOmega, because Todd has him on semantics. He gets his own mic:

“As per the stipulations of the match, I… well I will in fact award the titles to Todd and Daniel” Big heat for that. The crowd clearly disagrees with the decision. Bri and especially Benel do as well, arguing and Ryan calls in security to get them out and tells them he’s sorry.

Todd and Daniel get in the ring and he goes to hand them the belts and Todd toss his hand in the air.

“Get on your knees and present them to us”

Ryan: “That was never par-”

Todd: “On. Your. Knees.”

Ryan takes on knee, sarcastically as the crowd jeers. He present them the title and they celebrate, and he grabs back his mic:

“BUT with that out of the way, you might not have those titles long because if you want to be champions you’ll have to defend them TONIGHT in a rematch and this time: no DQ, no count-outs.”

Todd and Daniel throw a fit as we go to our first commercial break.

We return to an interview with Drew Rosen where he vows to become the first ever OWF Heavyweight champion and run through Scotland Green tonight.

We then cut to the announcers, who discuss the opening segment and hype the main event before announcing that we're about to see the first match in the 16 man Tournament to crown the first OWF Heavyweight Champion.

The OWF World Heavyweight Title is shown in a glass case at ringside as Buddy Friend's music starts and he pops out on the stage...

Round One Match, OWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament:

Buddy Friend vs. MoonSpider

It starts off a comedy match extraordanaire as Buddy delivers a headbutt and Moonspider responds with a headbutt of his own and soon they are trading headbutts, each getting dizzier and dizzier as it goes, finally Buddy is knocked off his feet by a final headbutt by Moonspider... only for him to Flair Flop... headbutting Buddy in the groin.

They're both down and Moonspider crawls over for a pin - only 2. He sets up for a Myopia Shinning Wizard but Buddy ducks it, low blow! He starts to get out brass knuckles but the ref sees him and questions him and he tosses them away and goes to work on Moonspider. A knee drop gets two. A vertical suplex gets the same.

He sets him up on the top rope for a superplex but Moonspider pushes him off. He goes for a shooting star press... and Buddy moves out of the way. They're both down when...

A mysterious masked stranger hits the ring! He hits a variety of suplexes on them both for a double disqualification! He makes a throat slitting gesture and then as security runs in he escapes through the crowd.

What was that?!

When we come back from commerical we have a segment with Benel and BriOmega. Benel says he's not sure he's in condition for an immediate rematch - his arm is pretty messed up. But he says he'll do whatever needs to be done to get his title back.

Talk turns to the title tournament and their match against one another next week but BriOmega brushes it off and says they are only worrying about tonight and turns to Benel, tells him that it's all going to work out just fine, gives him a playful smack to the injured shoulder and walks off, with Benel following a bit puzzled behind him.

It's announced that next is our 2nd Title Tournament match!

Round One Match, OWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament:

Drew Rosen vs. Scotland Green

Drew hits a series of palm strikes, a spinning back fist, tosses him into the corner, facewash kicks, whips him across the ring: avalanche! T-Bone suplex! We call that 'Commend Thy Spirit' We call this an unadulterated squash as it gets the 3.

Drew then grabs the mic and says that he's going to run through everyone on the roster like that. He starts on a long rant about the title when he's interrupted by Mars Nova who says that HE will be leaving with the title and he's going to be the people's champion and we're going to see what he can do next week. They get in each other's faces and Ryan's music hits and he says that Mars better save his strength because he's up next in a six man tag, teaming with Roger and Joe AiR vs. Jason California, Dr. Blasphemy and Bervda! Drew says he'll stick around to take stock of his challengers.

Mars Nova, Roger and Joe Air vs. Jason California, Dr. Blasphemy and Berva

It's an all action six man tag, with Joe and Berva trading high spots early. We get a series of dives to the outside early on: Roger hits a pescado onto Blasphemy, Jason follows off the top onto them both and then Nova hits a cannonball dive off the the apron to them all.

When it shakes out the legal men in the ring are Roger and Blasphemy and the heel team (how do you know it's the heel team? One of them is named DR. BLASPHEMY!) takes turns getting heat on him.

Eventually Roger makes the hot tag to Nova who knocks Jason off the apron, hits Berva with the Nova Flash pounce and then hits Blasphemy with a spinning back elbow and follows it up with the torture rack back breaker for the pin.

Drew sarcastically claps at ringside and nods his head and we cut to break.

We return with an interview with Daniel K. and The Todd. Are they OK with getting the title like that?

That is besides the point Todd says - it is ridiculous that they would have to have a rematch tonight. It's preposterous and he declares that as far as he's concerned he should not have to do it and he doesn't want to. Daniel tells him they'll win anyway and Todd says damn right they will, because he's THE TODD DAMMIT and he'll win a 100 matches if he has to. Oh, and by the way, he says, good luck next week in your title tournament match. Daniel cautiously wishes him the same. Tension perhaps?

The announcers wonder if both of our main event teams are on the same page. They also wonder about the masked man and then tease the next match: another match in the title tournament featuring Steve Marshall!

Round One Match, OWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament:

Steve Marshall vs. Human Target

They trade kicks to start and Steve gets the better part of it... till Human Target uses a thumb to the eye! He takes over briefly but Steve gets a quick comeback, back drop, sliding lariat! He goes up top: frog splash! Target kicks out and he hoists him up for the Raigeki Thuderbolt Driver but Target slips out into a dragon sleeper.

Steve struggles in the move but makes it to the ropes. Target puts him on the top for a superplex... he gets shoved off and Steve tries a crossbody off the top... but Target rolls through! He's got the tights! 1... 2...KICKOUT! Target questions the ref and walks into a big overhead kick- Raigeki! 1-2-3!

Post-match Steve is interviewed and says this first round is just a job interview - they want to see if you're on the World Title level and he thinks he just proved he was. He says Mars better get in line to get a piece of Drew as well, because he's gunning for him too... and anyone else who gets in the way of him becoming the first OWF Champion.

The announcers hype our final OWF Title Tournament match and the main event. And then we're off to the ring! No time to waste!

Round One Match, OWF World Heavyweight Title Tournament:

Adam Montan vs. Joe Woodbury

Adam laughs at Joe, the smaller man in plain black tights and when Joe charges Adam smacks him away, with just sheer weight. But Joe gets up and tries again - again batted away... again - this time it's a jumping forearm and it connect and hits a succession of them, shaking the big man! Can he get him off his feet?! He winds up for one more and... BLACK HOLE SLAM by Montan. 1-2-KICKOUT!

He is livid and bounces off the ropes: Splash! 1-2-KICKOUT! He hooks him up for a chokeslam and on the way up Joe hooks in a guillotine choke! He gets him down to his knees and then starts reigning in knee strikes! Montan picks him up and toss him off and he bounces back with another flying forearm - AND THE BIG MAN GOES DOWN! He gets a cover and gets tossed off at 1.

As the big man is still down he starts firing off kicks until he swats him away... he bounces back up and charges into a HUGE STO and grabs an arm triangle! Reservation Strangulation! It's locked in the middle of the ring... Montan TAPS!

Intense short match but Joe is your winner! The announcers remark it an upset, if just based on sheer physique. The post-match interviewer is shooed away by Joe and when the interviewer approaches Montan he gets chokeslamed for his trouble.

One more commercial and it's time for our main event!

We cut to the ring announcer again, proclaiming that his is tonight's MAIN EVENT!

We then cut to the back, where BriOmega is down and presumably hurt! Refs are calling for help but Bri waves them off! What is Benel going to do!

The Todd and Daniel K. vs. Benel Germosen and BriOmega for the OWF Tag Team Titles in a No DQ, No Count-out match

Benel comes down to the ring downtrodden. The announcer wonder whether Todd and Daniel beat up BriOmega? Maybe it was the masked man they wonder. Ryan comes out and tells Benel he doesn't have to do this alone - he has a partner for him! Benel says NO! BriOmega is his partner and he'll do this alone if he has to. He goes to roll in the ring with the heels, shakes his head and goes underneath the ring and gets a kendo stick!

Benel goes to town on the heels and clears the ring as we go to commercial!

When we come back from break we see the heels working on Benel's arm! They have it wrapped in a steel chair, with Daniel having his foot on it and Todd posed to come off the top and Pillman-ize it!

Several babyfaces hit the ring to tell them not to do it and then the heels attack and suddenly it's bedlam! People start hitting the ring! The masked man hits the ring and clears it and Benel makes his way to his feet as the masked man runs away again and Daniel rolls back in the ring and they trade blows!

Benel hits him with a Death Valley Driver on a chair and goes for a pin and it's broken up by Todd! Todd hits a fireman carry roll for two. He hoists Benel up as if for a Hart Attack and Daniel stirs and goes to the top... but Benel knees himself free, pops off the the top, crotching Daniel and hits a tornado DDT! It gets 2! Daniel charges and they do a double clotheline spot!

BRIOMEGA RETURNS FROM THE BACK! He runs into the ring and makes the cover on Daniel! He kicks out. Bri shrugs. He doesn't even seem hurt. He grabs a chair... and hits Benel several times in the arm with it!? And then puts his arm back Pillmanized and stomps it several times. He then invites Daniel to make the pin, which he does. Bri nods his head and rolls out of the ring with a shit eating smile.

Todd and Daniel celebrate their win as we go off the air for week one.

NEXT WEEK! BENEL VS. BRIOMEGA! Can Benel even compete?! WHY BRIOMEGA WHY?!
